Petru Clej, acum.tv magazine and lots and lots of spam

The first and about my only contact with Petru Clej was when we discussed about the gipsies and the coined term rrom that has been used for them during the last years. It was a discussion from different positions but it is irrelevant from the point of view of the messages that continued to come from him.

In this manner I want to forewarn you about a form of spam by means of it can be sent mails from different e-mail addresses (they keep changing in time), with no possibility to unsubscribe. Even if, initially, it was given the accept to receive the messages to promote the weekly magazine from the web page http://www.acum.tv, actually a domain parked at http://www.romanialibera.com/, there is no clear method to stop the messages. Yes, there are spam filters, but they are not a guarantied solution when the e-mail address changes constantly. You can delete the messages with no opening them, but when there are a lot of messages (from different senders) it only becomes a great lose of time and energy. Yes, there is the possibility to send the response messages to the sender asking him/her to stop, but the reaction to this kind of message depends by every person. There is also the possibility to report the sender to the authorities for sending spam, a solution for this being http://www.abuse.ro/report/add .

The choice is yours.

Primul și cam singurul meu contact cu Petru Clej a fost cu ocazia unei discutii despre țigani și termenul inventat rromi care e folosit la adresa lor în ultimii ani. A fost o discuție de pe poziții diferite, dar e irelevantă din punctul de vedere al mesajelor care au continuat să vină de la el.

Vreau pe această cale să atrag atenția asupra unei forme de spam prin intermediul căreia se trimit mesaje de la adrese electronice diferite (se tot schimbă în timp), fără posibilitatea de a te dezabona. Chiar dacă, inițial, a fost dat acceptul de a primi mesaje de promovare (a revistei săptămînale de pe pagina http://www.acum.tv, un domeniu parcat de fapt la http://www.romanialibera.com/), nu există nici o metodă clară de a opri mesajele. Da, există filtrele de spam, dar nu sînt o soluție garantată atunci cînd adresa electronică se schimbă constat. Mai puteți șterge mesajele fără să le deschideți, dar cînd vine vorba de multe mesaje (de la expeditori diferiți) asta e doar pierdere de timp și energie. Da, există posibilitatea de a-i trimite mesaje de răspuns expeditorului prin care să-i cereți să înceteze, dar reacția în fața unui asemenea mesaj ține de fiecare persoană în parte. Mai există posibilitatea de a reclama expeditorul autorităților pentru practica de a trimite spam, o soluție în acest sens fiind http://www.abuse.ro/report/add .
