Is this the SLOWEST pulsar ever found?! Or something else...?

Neutron stars (the pulsars) are some of the most extreme objects in the universe that we can see - the only thing you can get more extreme is a black hole. And when we find neutron stars, they tend to be spinning faster than once a second! Which is why this month when a paper by Caleb and collaborators was published reporting on the discovery of a possible neutron star with pulses of radio light detected once every 54 minutes, the entire astronomy community, went, wait? what? Is it really a pulsar? Spinning that slowly? Or is it something else? Whatever this thing is, it’s WEIRD, and not what we expect to find at all.

If you have other ideas about what's happening there do tell people about them, but first you need to be informed or very informed about the subject.
